We at FLES have extensive experience in the building industry. We stay up to date with building regulations and standards. We can recommend as deemed to satisfy regulations for common challenges faced in the industry. We also develop tailored solutions for challenging designs that are not common in the industry.
Home Owners
We make every effort to inform and protect the end client (mostly property owners) and to develop the best possible solution for all parties involved. By working daily in consultation with architects, town councils, the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) and contractors or builders, we have an excellent understanding of the procedures to follow and approvals required.
Architects
It is recommended that architectural plans are sent to a qualified engineer for structural evaluation prior to finalising detailed plans and the tender process. This will ensure that surprises and likely unforeseen costs are minimal during construction, as well as that the structure is safe and will function as intended. Having worked with architects on almost all projects to date, FLES has the ability to combine functionality without compromising aesthetics.
Builders
Contractors or builders are required to follow construction specifications and building regulations to ensure quality and cost effective construction. FLES can supply and give guidance on general specifications, as well as formulate particular specifications for specialist works. By following specifications, FLES can provide accurate cost to completion estimations.
Where do we operate?
FLES operates all over Gauteng. By making use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and optimized systems we are able to work remotely from our Centurion Office. However, in all cases where FLES is appointed as the Engineer, works will have to be inspected in person during the course of construction. Travel costs will be included in quotations.
Engineering Draughting
It is of utmost importance that construction specifications are relayed in a clear and concise manner to contractors, builders and quantity surveyors. This allows for accurate estimation of materials and clear scope brief for all relevant parties. We here at FLES strive for the highest standard of relaying details and specifications.
